The history of solar energy is one of small changes followed by minor tweaks. Over the course of centuries, if not millennia, the story of solar power has, word-by-word and character-by-character, been written.
We are in the position we are today thanks to the ingenuity and curiosity of many scientific men of history. People like Edmond Becquerel or William G. Cobb, who were not content to accept the status quo. Instead they questioned, they probed and they tested.
